Description
At Contending Faith Bible Conference: Spiritual Authority held in Branson, MO in October of 2024, Rev. Grier shared what Heaven was telling us today — prayer is important, but so is praise and worship. He emphasized that the church’s effectiveness has waned because we’ve sidestepped a crucial part of our prayer life: genuine worship and praise. We’ve been so focused on our actions and efforts that we’ve overlooked the power of simply glorifying God. We were reminded of Revelation 4, where all of heaven is in constant worship, and how this should be our model. God reminded us of Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20, who, when faced with insurmountable odds, chose to worship God and emerged victorious without even lifting a finger.
The power of visualization and faith was also touched on. To reach our destinations in life, we must first clearly define where we want to go and be willing to do whatever it takes to get there. This involves praying about our goals daily, visualizing ourselves achieving them (an act of faith), and never wavering in our belief. It is God who brings our desires to pass, often in ways we can’t see or understand. Our role, though, is to exercise faith consistently. The economic and political climate was talked about, with God assuring us that He has plans to prosper His people and bring confusion to the enemy’s camp.
We were all encouraged to see ourselves the right way, to have a mental picture of our desired future, and to have faith that God wants us to increase and expand in life. Overall, the meetings were a powerful reminder of the importance of worship, faith, and proper stewardship in our daily lives.
